Man embroiled in domestic dispute shot by police

By BBN Staff: On Monday night police were called to a residence at the Old Hattieville area of Hattieville.

That was where they had received news of a domestic dispute.

When officers arrived they saw Albert Reid armed with a machete.

He was ordered to surrender the weapon but instead he reportedly charged at officers.

Fearing for their own safety, one of the officers fired a shot that injured Reid’s left leg.

He remains hospitalized in a stable condition.
