By BBN Staff: Belize City police have confirmed a shooting in the old capital.

Shortly before 3 p.m. today, a man was riding his bicycle near Tow Tow Store on Mahogany Street.

That was when someone approached and opened fire.

He was shot multiple times and rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Police are investigating.
