Complete shutdown announced for businesses in Cayo on Sunday

By BBN Staff: The Government of Belize’s summary of Statutory Instrument 52 of 2020 indicates that on Sundays in the Cayo District, there must be a complete shutdown of businesses (except entities designated as  24-hour and seven days a week are allowed to operate. These include food mills, oil production, sugar, citrus and approved food factories, port operations, public utilities.)

Any movements on Sunday must be by essential workers only or for emergencies only.

The public is urged to comply with the regulations.
