By BBN Staff: The National Association of Village Councils (NAVCO) has written to the Ministry of Human Development, Social Transformation and Poverty Alleviation demanding that village chairs be included in the team that will provide food assistance to villagers.
NAVCO commends the Ministry for taking the initiative of assisting villagers with food but says that the villagers are unable to get through to the numbers provided.
“ Chairpersons know the people in their communities and most of all, they know the most needed ones. We can provide you with the list of contact of the Chairpersons in each district,” the letter notes.
NAVCO urged the ministry to take into consideration their demand.
