Memorial service and funeral being held today for Hubert Pipersburgh

By BBN Staff: The family of Hubert Pipersburgh is currently holding a memorial service and funeral at the Sacred Heart Church in San Ignacio, Cayo.

The ceremonies began at 2:00 pm this afternoon and is being held to celebrate the life of Hubert Pipersburgh. Common-law wife Maria Estella Recinos organized the special celebration. A formal and participatory funeral and service was not possible just after Hubert died due to the lockdown in Belize and the restrictions placed on large gatherings. Maria Estella has reached out to family, close friends and associates of Hubert and invited them to the special service.

Hubert Pipersburgh was the first person, and only one of two persons, to have died of Covid-19 in Belize. He was a senior employee of the Belize City Council and an active member of the Belizean Diaspora.

Hubert was also a special follower of BBN and offered much guidance to the BBN partners.

Born on March 2nd 1964, Hubert departed this life on April 5th 2020. May he continue to rest in peace.
