“Weather to be windy and warm,” says Met Service

The latest forecast from the National Meteorological Service of Belize says that today’s weather is expected to be mainly fair, windy, and warm.

The 24-hour forecast calls for mostly sunny skies today and partly cloudy tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated, except for a few more developing over the south tonight.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 95 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 76 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

An advisory remains in effect for residents, especially those living in inland areas, to stay hydrated and avoid direct sunlight and outdoor activities as much as possible.

Winds will be gusty, blowing East-Southeast at 10-20 knots and the sea state will be moderate-rough.

Low tide will occur at 9:55 a.m. and high tide will come in at 3:51 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:27 p.m. and the moon rose today at 12:12 a.m.
