Supreme Court prepares to sentence “Danny Mason Five”

By Aaron Humes: William “Danny” Mason; Ashton Vanegas; Keiron and Terrence Fernandez and Ernest Castillo are finally expected to face the court this morning for sentencing.

The five were convicted in December 2019 of the beheading murder of Llewellyn Lucas in July of 2016 at Mason’s farm on the George Price Highway.

Circumstances conspired to delay sentencing on multiple occasions after the verdict was given.

The quintet, based on the decision of the Crown, faces possible death or life in prison subject to a suitable parole period.
