By Aaron Humes: Returning Belizeans are still subject to quarantine for 14 days, Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero reiterated.

It has been found that persons applying and approved for re-entry to Belize have not been accurate with information provided on the re-entry form, leading to misconceptions on their arrival.

Some have chosen not to come back after all and others are still showing up before they are properly approved.

And, Dr Manzanero said, some are under the impression they need only be tested (in addition to their 72-hour COVID-19 negative results) and then sent home.

However, they must stay quarantined until their tests are negative.
