By BBN Staff: The Belize Progressive Party (BPP) is hosting a press conference this Tuesday, and Party Leader Patrick Rogers says that it will serve more than one purpose.
The conference will be held at the Belize Institute of Management (BIM) conference room on October 6, starting at 2:00 p.m.
According to Rogers the primary focus of the event will be a look at the party’s 2020 agenda for the upcoming election. That agenda will include a discussion on corruption and its link to campaign financing.
Rogers noted that the BPP will also be using the platform to introduce three new candidates who will be contesting the election, for which no official date has been set.
“Since COVID, we can’t really campaign and… so we use the press conference as a medium to get our message that we have honest, humble people that are trying to help the BPP bring back some honor to that House that has lost all honor. We need checks and balances in the house and we will be that check and balance,” Rogers said.
