Police seek public assistance in gas station robbery investigation

By BBN Staff: The Belize Police Department is asking the public for information on a robbery/shooting that happened over the weekend.

On the night of Saturday, October 24, a robber approached Adrian Perrera while he was attending a gas pump at the Puma Gas Station on Freetown Road and demanded money.

Perrera refused and struggled with the robber, but was eventually thrown to the ground and shot to the back. The robber picked up an undisclosed amount of money and ran off.

The department is encouraging anyone with information on the incident to call 922 or the nearest police precinct.
