Crime Stoppers offer $2,000 reward for recovery of stolen firearms

By BBN Staff: Crime Stoppers Belize is offering a $,2000 reward for the recovery of seven firearms that were stolen from the San Jose Succotz Village Police Station in the Cayo District this morning.

According to police, the burglary took place between the hours of 1 and 7 a.m. on Friday.

The culprit(s) took two high-powered M4 assault rifles with serial numbers BZPD0054 and 0057; and a pump-action shotgun with serial number BVO pol 005. 

The burglars also took four .9mm pistols: two .9mm Smith and Wesson pistols with serial numbers BVO pol 029 and 026, a Browning .9mm pistol with serial number BVO pol 028; and an Arcus .9mm pistol with serial number BVO pol 027. 

An investigation into the burglary is on-going by the police department. Anyone with information leading to the recovery of the stolen weapons is asked to contact the 922 hotline or make a report using the P3 tips app.
