By BBN Staff: Belize received a donation of a firetruck today from an international partner, according to Tropic Air.
The airline explained that a US Airforce C-17 aircraft dropped off a firetruck today, which was donated to the Belize National Fire Service by the Truo Volunteer Fighter Brigade out of Sunbury Ohio.
The fire truck is reportedly headed to the Punta Gorda Fire Station to increase its capability to fight fires in the south.
The donation is the second such received in Belize recently, as one was donated last month by the organization Global Gear Initiative (GGI). That truck was sent to the Ladyville Fire Station.
