Power cut for Belize City due to damage repairs at Magazine Road

By Aaron Humes: Power was cut at approximately 6:13 p.m. this evening for all of the Old Capital up to Mile 1 on both major highways.

Moments ago, Belize Electricity Limited sent notice to say that the emergency outage would last until 7:30 p.m., though parts of the City are starting to see power power restored such as the downtown area.

The cause was a need to urgently repair damaged equipment at the Magazine Road Substation.

Readers are advised to hold on tight until power is restored in your area.
