Central Belize adds 20 of 32 new cases of COVID-19

By Aaron Humes: The Belize and Cayo districts between them account for 20 of today’s new COVID-19 case load of 32.

Belize City added six new cases and Ladyville two.

San Pedro Town added four, Belmopan three and one each in villages from Camalote to San Ignacio.

Six new cases were seen in Hope Creek, one in Dangriga and one in Maya Center, with a sole case in Toledo coming from remote Dolores.

In the North, Corozal Town added one case and there were two reported in the Mennonite community of Blue Creek, Orange Walk.

Mainland Belize District is now 12 cases away from the 3,000 mark, followed by Orange Walk with more than 2,400 cases and Cayo at 2383. Corozal, Stann Creek, Toledo and San Pedro follow in that order.

The deaths reported today were in the Corozal, Stann Creek and Toledo Districts.
