Farmer shoots himself with a shotgun

By BBN Staff: A Stann Creek farmer shot himself with a shotgun this week, and police are trying to ascertain whether or not it was an accident.

Police say that around 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Alfred Bernard Jr. was exiting his vehicle and picked up his loaded shotgun when it went off.

He sustained wounds to the body and was taken to the Southern Regional Hospital (SRH) where he later died of his injuries.

Police are investigating.
