Delivery truck driver shot yesterday, died this morning

By BBN Staff: Yesterday’s shooting incident has become today’s murder investigation, as delivery truck driver Jose Santos,43, died from gunshot wounds early this morning.

Santos was shot several times to the body shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Monday, and was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment; however, he died of his injuries around 1:50 a.m.

Police say that Santos and a coworker were making a delivery at Tow Tow Shop on Mahogany Street when the incident happened. Santos was in the vehicle while his coworker had gone into the shop when a gunman came and shot him.

Police canvassed the area and later found the weapon suspected to have been used in the crime.

Investigations are ongoing.
