Two more teachers to commence lessons on CARICOM economics

Posted: Wednesday, May 12, 2021. 4:12 pm CST.

By Zoila Palma: The Caribbean Community (CARICOM)’s secretariat pilot program for teaching on-line about CARICOM economics, Regional Integration and the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) continues.

On Thursday, Stefphoney Grinage of Sacred Heart College in Belize will teach the class of Albert Inshanally of Queen’s College in Guyana.

The lesson begins at 9.40 a.m. Belize time and focuses on the opportunities, different interests, the CSME and reasons for having CARICOM.

Grinage is a Social Studies teacher with 12 years’ experience in the profession.

Then next Thursday, Inshanally will teach Grinage’s class at the same time doing a second lesson concluding the theme.

The pilot program is an activity for teacher exchanges, where they would travel and be attached to classrooms across CARICOM to observe and share experiences in the host Member State.

These activities are part of the CARICOM Secretariat’s on-going initiatives of Public Education on the CSME.
