By Rubén Morales Iglesias: 2012 Cross Country winner Giovanni Choto won the M&M’s Engineering Cristo Rey Challenge in the Cayo District on Sunday, June 6.
Choto was the overall and Elite Category winner riding the 58-mile challenge in 3 hours and five minutes. Three G Flow riders rode in next: Shane Jones (2nd), Renan Codd (3rd) and Giovanni Lovell (4th). Jyven Gonzalez of Project BZE was 5th, Angel Tzib of Westrac finished 6th, and Tyler Tejeda of Recino’s Imports was 7th.
The Weekend Warriors A Class, which also rode 58 miles, was dominated by FAL’s Sherwin Roca. Kulture’s Vallan Symns took 2nd and Kenroy Gladden 3rd, M&M’s Engineering’s Preston Martinez 4th, Running Rebels Jose Choto was 5th, M&M’s Edison R Usher 6th and Kulture’s Wayne Moses 7th.
