Minister of Health and Wellness: 38 new cases of COVID-19 detected

By Zoila Palma: Today’s data from the Ministry of Health and Wellness indicates that of the 1,705 tests done, 38 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed.

Twenty-four of those cases were reported in the Stann Creek District with a COVID-19 cluster of 13 new reported cases in Santa Cruz.

There were 3 new recoveries and no COVID-19 related death.

The Ministry noted that the new cases for Stann Creek include those in the contact tracing done in the Maya King area.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign continues countrywide.

The public is reminded to adhere to all precautionary measures.
