Police find more than 50 pounds of marijuana in abandoned vehicle

By BBN Staff: Today, Belize City police found more than 50 pounds of marijuana stashed in an abandoned vehicle on the south side of the city.

Officers conducting operations in Lake Independence around 7:15 a.m. found 25 parcels in a white car parked on Police Street.

The parcels amounted to 54 pounds; however, no one was in the area at the time of discovery, so the drugs were deposited as found property.
