By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Health and Wellness is rolling out its Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination program for children ages 12-17 years.
The Ministry said it encourages all parents and legal guardians to have their children vaccinated.
In Belize City, vaccinations will be ongoing daily from Monday to Saturday at the SJC Gym and Monday to Friday at the Swift Hall from 8am to 3pm. Schools have been assigned different days. Additionally, students have been divided into two brackets, 16 and 17-year-olds and 12-15-year-olds.
For the 16 and 17-year-olds vaccination will be as follows:
Monday, August 23
SJC GYM: Edward P Yorke, St John’s College/St John’s College Junior College
Swift Hall: Anglican Cathedral College, Sadie Vernon High School
Tuesday, August 24
SJC GYM: Belize High School, Pallotti High School, Canaan Seventh Day Adventist High School, ITVET
Swift Hall: Wesley College, Maud Williams High School
Wednesday 24
SJC GYM: St Catherine Academy, Nazarene High School
Swift Hall: Gwen Lizarraga High School, Excelsior High School
For the 12-15-year-olds, vaccination will be as follows:
Thursday, August 26
