In a document circulated to staff, the BTS said that effective Monday, September 20th, 2021, all branches countrywide will temporarily adjust their opening hours as follows: Monday to Thursday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm • Friday 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Staff members are also being discouraged from having lunch at the workplace, though the option remains available if it becomes necessary.
“Staff are encouraged to kindly use telephone, emails and TEAMS platform to communicate with colleagues to minimize the face-to-face interactions,” the BTS said.
Staff are also being reminded to continue mask-wearing and respecting all other COVID-19 protocols set by health authorities.
This week, Prime Minister John Briceno announced a number of stricter measures being put in place, including a 7 0′ clock curfew and full lockdown on Sundays, to try and reduce the number of positive cases, which has been consistently recording triple-digits for almost a month.
