Shootout with police – 16 year old student detained, second suspect allegedly receive gunshot injures, third suspect escape

By BBN Staff: Following the shooting of Rudolph Serano and Kenyon Cherrington on Fabers Road Extension on Sunday evening, a shootout occurred between the police and the suspected shooters, resulting in the detention of a 16 year old student.

Police report that they responded immediately to a shooting that occurred at a residence on Fabers Road Extension and the response led to the pursuit of a white Dodge van with license plate BZ C-11307. While pursuing the van, a crossfire ensued between the police and the occupants of the van at the corner of Central American Boulevard and Jane Usher Boulevard.

According to the police, three (3) male persons exited the van after the shootout and while the police were able to detain a 16 year old student, the other two (2) occupants escaped. Police later visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) where they found the second suspect, a 21 year old, admitted to ward in a critical but stable condition.

The third suspect remains at large.
