BEL announces an emergency power outage in Belize City on Monday afternoon

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize Electricity Limited (BEL) has announced an emergency power outage in Belize City on Monday afternoon to conduct urgent repairs to a power transformer.

All of Belize City up to Mile 1 on the Philip Goldson Highway and Mile 1 on the George Price Highway will be affected according to BEL.

“This power outage is necessary for BEL to conduct urgent repairs to a power transformer device at our Magazine Road Substation in order to ensure a reliable source of power supply to customers in the area,” said BEL.

The power cut will be from 12:00 pm (midday) to 1:30 pm.
