Two arraigned for murder of Mahogany Heights resident Ethan Thompson

By BBN Staff: Two people charged for the shooting death of 18-year-old Mahogany Heights resident Ethan Thompson were arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court this week.

Twenty-three-year-old George Hyde and a 16-year-old male were brought, unrepresented before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford to answer to a single count each of murder.

Due to the nature of the offense, no plea was taken and bail could not be offered.

They were both remanded to the Belize Central Prison until February 28, 2022.

On November 1, Thompson was riding his bicycle on his way home in Mahogany Heights when he was ambushed and killed.
