Police confirm murder of Michael Lambey

By Aaron Humes: Twenty-six-year-old Michael Lambey is the latest victim of murder in Belize City.

According to police, Lambey and others were standing behind a vehicle in front of a shop on Curl Thompson Street in the Jane Usher Boulevard area on Thursday night around a quarter past six.

That is when they were approached by two men from the direction of Mud Street, who opened fire on them.

Lambey ran up Curl Thompson Street but collapsed and was then shot several times by one of the men standing over him. Both shooters then ran back toward Mud Street, boarded a vehicle, and escaped.

Police investigations continue.
