Government of Belize takes water to southern villages that have no access

By BBN Staff: To ensure that villages have access to water, the Government of Belize has been routinely deploying water trucks into those areas on weekends.

On Saturday, a team from the Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour, and Local Government, led a team to the Stann Creek district to provide water.

The team, headed by Ministry CEO Valentino Shal, delivered water to Maya Mopan and George Town.

“Water is a fundamental human need, so we work even on Saturdays to provide water to those who do not have access to it,” the Ministry said.

The Ministry went on to say that it will ensure these villages are supplied with water until their water system is restored.
