Orange Walk District tops weekend COVID-19 table

By Aaron Humes: The Orange Walk District led all reporting centers with 12 of 37 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend.

Nine were in Orange Walk Town with cases also in Carmelita, San Estevan and Indian Church.

Toledo was next with seven including three in Punta Gorda and cases in Conejo Creek, Machaca Forest Reserve, San Marcos and Santa Elena.

Belize City added four of six new cases in mainland Belize District, with the others in Ladyville, Sandhill and one in San Pedro Town.

There were five new cases in Stann Creek District (two each in Dangriga and Placencia and one in Independence); four in Corozal District (two in Corozal Town; Libertad and San Narciso); and two in Cayo District (San Ignacio Town and Cotton Tree).
