Belize Weather: Fair weather prevails heading into weekend

Mainly fair and warm weather prevails according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies today will be mostly sunny and tonight partly cloudy. Except for a chance of isolated afternoon thunderstorms over the mountains, little or no rainfall is expected.

High temperatures today peak at 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 95 degrees over inland areas and 80 degrees in the hills. Temperatures tonight fall to 82 degrees along the coast; 74 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly to southeasterly at 10 to 20 knots. The sea will be moderate with waves of four to six feet.

Tides will be high at 12:49 this afternoon and low at 8:55 this evening. Sunset today is at 6:14 and the sun rises on Saturday morning at 5:24.

Continued warm and mostly dry weather is expected on Saturday.
