Fire destroys Corozal’s Jah Mundo Restaurant

By Aaron Humes: Within hours of the destruction of Ella’s Cool Spot in Hopkins, there was another fire that destroyed a popular restaurant, this time in the North. 

According to Corozal Daily, the popular restaurant Jah Mundo in town was destroyed by fire. No one was injured and the cause is being investigated.

There has been an outpouring of support for its proprietor, with Corozal Daily reporting, “We know the love and hard work that has been put in the success and growth of this beautiful business. We know that Maria and Beep will get back stronger than ever with the goodwill and help of this community…Let’s stand together and work together as a community to rebuild Jah Mundo to its glory days. Blessings to you both.”
