By BBN Staff: This week, Oscar Rosado Jr. son of 71-year-old businessman Oscar Rosado Sr who was gunned down in his own construction supplies store back in 2018, took the witness stand to testify against the two accused Brandon Humes and Jose Gomez.

Rosado gave details to the court about having a gun pointed to his head while he watched his father lying in a pool of blood after being shot, and his mother pleading with the robbers not to cause them any further harm.

He explained that he was in the office of Rosado’s Construction Supplies on Cemetery Road, when he heard a loud bang. He stepped out to see what it was and saw a man pointing a gun toward his mother. He said as he approached where they were, he saw his father on the floor.

The gunman then approached him and pointed the gun into his forehead. At that instant, Rosado said he looked at the gunman in the eyes and the gunman turned his gaze. He said he then fell to the ground and prayed that he would not be shot, but the men left, firing as many as 15 shots on their way out.

In court, Rosado positively identified Brandon Humes as the man that held the gun to his head that day as he had previously done at an identification parade conducted not long after the incident.

The trial began on July 12 with both men being represented by attorney Leroy Banner, and Senior Crown Counsel, Sheneiza Smith prosecuting the case.
