By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Prime Minister John Briceno is inviting the public to engage in the National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) roadshow that will be launched on August 5th at 10 am at the Belize Biltmore Plaza.
The purpose of the roadshow is to raise public awareness of goods and services provided by MSME’s. It will also serve as an opportunity for these businesses to expose their products and services to the tourism market.
In addition, information will be shared on Government services available for MSME development.
In a Facebook post, PM Briceno noted that MSMEs contribute to sustainable development, create new decent jobs, provide needed goods and services, combat poverty and reduce inequality.
“MSMEs account for about 90% of all businesses established in Belize and 50% of all employment……..Let’s promote our entrepreneurial spirit… engage and support local businesses and empower our entrepreneurs as we build Belize,” Briceno said.
