Toledo teenager allegedly impregnated by her own father

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 14-year-old girl from the Toledo district has alleged that her father impregnated her.

The minor, accompanied by an adult told police that on March 1, they were at a relative’s house when her father had sexual intercourse with her and told her not to tell anyone.

The minor further alleged her father threatened to kill her and the relative if she told, so fearing for her life she kept the secret. However, on July 27, a family member became suspicious and took her to be examined by a doctor, where they learned that she is pregnant.

Police are investigating.
