By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Ministry of Infrastructure Development this week replaced a culvert in San Antonio in the Cayo District under a new strategic plan.
“The MIDH has implemented a strategic plan to replace culverts in the most critical locations, like here in San Antonio in the Cayo District,” said the MIDH in a social media post on Wednesday, October 26.
The MIDH said not replacing culverts timely causes a number of problems.
“We’ve all seen the damage which is done by flooding – to homes, properties, crops and roads. A lot of that is because many of our culverts should have been replaced and/or upgraded years ago.”
