By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 19-year-old Belize City resident has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison following a charge of drug trafficking.

Albert Zetina appeared unrepresented in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today, charged with a single count of possession of controlled drugs with the intent to supply to another in relation to 1.1 grams of cocaine allegedly found in his possession.

Zetina pleaded not guilty to the charge and bail was granted to him in the sum of $1,500 plus one surety of the same.

However, Zetina was unable to meet bail and was remanded to prison until he is able to do so.

He is due back in court on February 6, 2023.
