By Benjamin Flowers: Police say that the bar fight that led to the stabbing of 18-year-old Eden Nunez on Saturday night started over a drink being knocked over.

ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Head of Communications for the Office of the Commissioner of Police, reported that Nunez was socializing at a bar in Dangriga on Saturday, December 17, when she knocked over the drink belonging to another patron.

After an exchange of words, Nunez walked away and while she was doing so, was stabbed to the lower back. She was rushed to the Southern Regional Hospital where she was treated.

Police have detained the woman that is allegedly responsible for the stabbing, pending charges.
