Man accused of rape gets 16 years in prison

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On January 27, 2023, Justice Ricardo Sandcroft sentenced Andre Gordon, 37, to 16 years in prison.

Gordon was found guilty in July 2021 and received 8 years for the crime of rape and 8 years for aggravating factors which include the fact that he sodomized his victim, who was 21 at the time, 7 News Belize reports.

The victim claimed that Gordon entered her home at 3:15 am and when she awoke, he was on top of her.
