Reports are that Magistrate’s courts in the Cayo and Corozal are on go slow. The Department of Agriculture is currently operating on skeleton staff. The Elections and Boundaries Department, Treasury Department, and Magistrate’s Court in San Ignacio and Benque Viejo are reportedly closed due to sick outs.

Reports are that Immigration staff at the western border are currently on go slow, and that branches of the Belize Tax Service and Transport Department have all joined in on the industrial actions.

The meeting between the Joint Union Negotiating Team (JUNT) and the Government of Belize is expected to end at 12:00 p.m. at which time, the respective unions will begin briefing their members on the discussions.
