Cayo youth detained pending charges for unlicensed firearm

By Benjamin Flowers: Roaring Creek police have detained an 18-year-old male pending charges in connection with the discovery of an unlicensed firearm.

Reports are that on Wednesday around 6:20 p.m. officers saw three males running towards the river and throwing a black object towards the roadside.

Police apprehended one of the three and took him to the area where the item was thrown. There they found a .38 revolver loaded with four live .38 Aguila 357 Mag rounds of ammunition.

Police have given a name for the individual which is being withheld until he is formally charged with an offense.
