By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Sindbad lead Orange Walk Football Association’s (OWFA) 1st Division Championship with three wins in a row.

On Sunday, Sindbad defeated the San Jose Pumas 3-0, Progresso edged Louisiana 1-0, San Jose and Charlie’s Cave Tubing tied 1-1, while Mi Gente also drew 1-1 with Galácticos.

After three weeks, Sindbad lead with 9 points from 3 consecutive wins. Charlie’s Cave Tubing follow in second place with 7 points. Progresso are in third place with 6 points. Guinea Grass and Progress are next with 4 points apiece. San José have two. Mi Gente, San Jose Pumas, and Galacticos bring up the rear with just 1 point.

Raheem Eagan of Sindbad is the top scorer with 4 goals so far. Charlie’s Alwin Zelaya and San Jose’s Victor Novelo have scored two each.

The Championship will continue on Sunday at the Louisiana Football Field.
