Belize Port Authority closes offices on Thursday midday, Headquarters to close Friday and reopen on Monday

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize Port Authority said it closed its offices today Thursday at midday and will also close their Headquarters on Friday to reopen on Monday, April 3, at 9 a.m.

“The Management of Belize Port Authority [informs] that our offices will be temporarily closed for business as a result of the closing of the Financial Year 2022/2023 on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 12:00pm,” the BPA said in a public notice.

The BPA also said in another public notice that their Headquarters will be closed for business on Friday, March 31, 2023, and that normal working hours will resume on Monday, April 3, at 8:00 am.

“Our customers can access all services at our District Offices in San Pedro Town, Placencia Village, Independence Village and Punta Gorda Town as these locations will be open for normal business on March 31, 2023,” the BPA said.

The BPA said during these closures customers can still access a wide range of services via their website www.portauthority.bz, email: [email protected], or by calling their National Maritime Communication Center at 222-5666, or their Maritime Emergency Number 966.

“Vessel clearances will be available as per normal by calling the National Maritime Communication Center at 222-5666,” the BPA added.
