Ministry of Health and Wellness hosts Referral Protocol Meeting

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On June 1, 2023, the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) hosted a Referral Protocol Meeting with members of the public and private sector to review and discuss gaps in the management of the current referral protocol system between both sectors.

An overview of the protocol was presented and specific areas of concern were discussed openly and documented for further consultation.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Jorge Polanco shared his appreciation for the participation and discussions at this first meeting.

He also expressed the Ministry’s commitment to conduct follow up meetings and consultations to finalize the update of the protocol document for smooth implementation.
