Accused gangster Clint Geban granted bail

By Aaron Humes: Clint Geban must show he is not a gangster as accused of being by police – by, among other things, staying away from known gangsters.

Geban is at home and out on bail granted to him by Senior Magistrate Baja Shoman after the prosecutor had no further objection.

Geban met bail of $2,500 plus one surety of the same amount; he is not to leave the jurisdiction without the permission of the court; he had to surrender his travelling documents, including his passport to the clerk of court; he is barred from applying for any new travel documents, and he must report to the Police Station until his case conclude.

The Senior Magistrate also ordered that Geban must remain living at his Baracat Street address until the case concludes and he cannot leave that address without the permission of the court. He is on a curfew from 8:00 at night to 5:00 in the morning, and he is not to associate with any known gang members or to be arrested and charged for any offenses whilst out on bail.

Geban returns to court for trial on this charge on September 16.
