International News: 5 people killed in mass shooting in St. Vincent and the Grenadines

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Law enforcement authorities in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are on high alert following a shooting incident on Wednesday night that left 5 people dead.

According to ABC, police responded to reports of a mass shooting in Kingstown where a group of people were in the Harbour Club area.

Reports indicate that a vehicle approached them and occupants of the vehicle began shooting.

A 13-year-old’s body is among the 5 victims.

Investigators say that an assault weapon was used.

Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has extended sympathies to the families of the victims and committed to get justice.

“We will get to the bottom of this, and we will bring the perpetrators to justice, those who carried out the killings and those who are the authors,” Dr. Gonsalves said.
