Man’s temper costs him $500 in domestic dispute

By Aaron Humes: A Belize City man must pay the price for an explosion of temper on Saturday morning which saw him hurt his common-law wife after returning together from the neighborhood store.

Glenford Logan, 36, of Mile 2 Philip Goldson Highway, pleaded guilty to a charge of harm on his common-law wife and was fined $500 and cost of court due by October 31, in default three months in jail.

Logan’s partner told police that he went into the house ahead of her and came back out, suddenly stomping her to the ground and then slapping her several times in the face before leaving in a vehicle. He denied the stomping but admitted to slapping her and begged not to be sent to jail.
