By Breaking Belize News Staff: Renowned rapper and performer, Cardi B flung her microphone in response to a fan who threw a drink at her during a concert in Las Vegas on Saturday, according to the New York Post. The spectacle adds to a string of recent events where artists are assaulted with objects on stage.

The “Bodak Yellow” singer was midway through her performance at Drai’s Beachclub when a member of the audience unexpectedly threw a decorated white cup filled with liquid at her. The New York-born artist initially appeared taken aback and incredulous before retaliating by pitching her microphone at the offending party.

Security swiftly stepped in as Cardi B expressed her outrage from the stage. The microphone was soon returned to her, and she continued her performance, as revealed by a video shared on her social media.

Whether any legal action has been taken against the errant concertgoer remains unclear at this point.

This is not the first instance of Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar Cephus, displaying such a reaction. The previous night, she had reportedly thrown her microphone at the DJ at the same venue, feeling continuously interrupted during her act, according to a TikTok video.

The video documenting Cardi B’s microphone hurl has since amassed over 25 million views on Twitter, with fans coming out in support of the star. One TikTok user commented, “Now they know, of all celebs, not to try that with Cardi B. Cardi was locked in!!!!” Another quipped, “Lmaoooo she F’D around and found out.”

Cardi B joins a growing list of performers who have recently faced on-stage assaults, ranging from phones to sex toys, and even human ashes. Last month, Bebe Rexha was struck by a phone during a NYC concert, and the Grammy-nominated singer suffered a black eye and required stitches. The alleged thrower was later arrested on multiple charges.

Pop singer Pink was left “mortified” when a fan scattered their mother’s ashes on stage at the British Summer Time festival. More recently, Lil Nas X was the recipient of a sex toy hurled at him during his performance at European Lollapalooza in Sweden.
