Belize Weather: Fair weather prevailing to start the week

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Generally fair weather prevails today according to the National Meteorological Service. Skies will be sunny with cloudy spells and isolated showers or thunderstorms, with slightly more forecast in the south. Tonight skies will be cloudy at times with showers and thunderstorms increasing over southern areas.

High temperatures peak at 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 93 degrees over inland areas and 82 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 78 degrees along the coast, 72 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.

Winds will be easterly at 10 to 20 knots and sea state choppy.

Tides will be high at 8:29 this morning and 9:55 tonight and low at 3:58 this afternoon. The sun sets at 6:19 this evening and rises at 5:35 Tuesday morning.

Skies will be cloudy in spells with showers and thunderstorms, especially in the south, on Tuesday.
