Customer claims account at Credit Union mysteriously showed $0 balance

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The banking industry has evolved making shifts to technological advancements but with those advancements, come glitches.

A customer from a Credit Union shared on social media that her account was totally emptied and she is unaware of any system glitch.

The customer says that she has not done any withdrawal and when she visited the ATM, the machine marked insufficient funds.

In addition, she logged into the online banking system and it also showed a $0 balance.

The customer says that she thanks God that she didn’t have any real emergencies or she wouldn’t have been able to access any funds to assist her.

BBN understands that another customer had a similar issue with a commercial bank in which her online banking showed a $300 discrepancy.

When the customer called the bank, she was told that there was a system glitch and the balance would have been showing correctly by the end of the day.
