International News: United States to send additional security aid to Ukraine worth $200 million

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez:  Today, the United States announced that it will send additional security aid to Ukraine valued at $200 million.

According to Reuters, the aid package includes air defense munitions, artillery rounds, anti-armor capabilities, and additional mine-clearing equipment.

The U.S. and allies including countries around the world are united in support of Ukraine in response to Russia’s unprovoked, and unjustified war against Ukraine.

“Ukraine is a key regional strategic partner that has undertaken significant efforts to modernize its military and increase its interoperability with NATO.  It remains an urgent security assistance priority to provide Ukraine the equipment it needs to defend itself against Russia’s war against Ukraine,” the U.S. State Department noted.

The United States continues to provide security assistance to demonstrate their enduring and steadfast commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
