Ladyville waitress out on bail after allegedly wounding man

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Ladyville waitress is out on bail of $800 after allegedly wounding a man an incident that took place on September 1.

Leivy Rebecca Magana, 32, appeared in court today and was read a single charge of wounding. She was unrepresented in court and pleaded not guilty to the charge. Magana was offered bail in the sum of $800 plus one surety of the same amount, which she met.

The conditions of her bail stipulate that she must not interfere with the complainant, his family or any of the prosecution’s witnesses; and she must not be more than 25 feet within proximity of the complainant.

She is due back in court on October 31.
